About NordStruct
NordStruct is a Nordic Research Infrastructure Hub for Integrative Structural Biology. It brings together universities and research infrastructures across the Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden) to strengthen collaboration, improve access to advanced facilities, and support training in structural biology. The aims of NordStruct are to strengthen the international competitiveness of Nordic structural biology and establish the region as a global leader in the field.

Through activities such as mobility grants, advanced PhD training, topical meetings, and workshops for facility managers, NordStruct supports researchers at all career stages and helps develop the competencies needed to conduct cutting edge structural biology research. By connecting infrastructures, expertise, and researchers, NordStruct aims to strengthen the international competitiveness of Nordic structural biology and establish the region as a global leader in the field.
NordStruct Network Partner Universities
NordStruct brings together 29 network partner organizations across the Nordic countries, including universities and large-scale research infrastructures. This extensive network ensures broad access to expertise, facilities, and training opportunities in structural biology. The consortium partners represent each Nordic country and carry the overall responsibility for the project. The Associated Partners include a wide range of network partner universities across the Nordic region. Together, these partners represent a large and diverse community of researchers and facilities dedicated to advancing structural biology across the Nordic countries.

For institutions in the Nordic region that are not currently part of the NordStruct Network, please email Lucy Holt (lucy.holt@bio.ku.dk) to join.
The Management Committee
The Management Committee provides scientific and strategic guidance, helps to shape the development of activities, ensure collaboration across NordStruct, and support its overall objectives.

The Steering Committee
The NordStruct Steering Committee brings together representatives from all partner institutions. These members contribute expertise from wide range of structural biology methods and play an active role in driving NordStruct’s activities. The Steering Committee includes the members of the Management Committee together with representatives from the partner universities.

Please reach out to your local Steering Committee member to learn how you can get involved in NordStruct!
Funding Sources
NordStruct is funded by NordForsk, an organisation under the Nordic Council of Ministers that supports research cooperation and research infrastructure development across the Nordic region. The project runs from 2026 to 2030 and aims to strengthen collaboration between Nordic universities and research infrastructures while improving access to advanced facilities and training opportunities
