The X-ray Laboratory at the University of Bergen, Department of Earth Science provides analytical capabilities for elemental and mineralogical characterization using X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy (XRF) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The facility is equipped with Philips PW1404 XRF and Philips PW1700 XRD instruments for non-destructive analysis of solid, powder, and liquid samples, supporting studies of geological materials and crystalline structures.
