The Friction and Interface Laboratory at the University of Oslo provides instrumentation for nanoscale imaging, surface characterization, and mechanical testing of geological and material samples. The facility includes a Nanowizard/JPK atomic force microscope, ContourGT/Bruker white-light interferometry profilometer for 3D surface metrology, and a Nano Indenter G200X for nanoscale mechanical property measurements, supporting studies of interfacial forces, surface morphology, and material properties in geoscience and related fields.
